Joining Eagles Lacrosse has been one of the best decisions my daughter has made during her high school career. Although she had no real lacrosse knowledge, the skills she acquired from previous sports involvement translated easily to lacrosse. The Coaches and the team were welcoming and accepting, even as she was learning and we loved that there was an opportunity for her play as a beginner, while also giving her opportunities to set goals and push herself. Our youngest daughter tagged along with her big sister to a summer lacrosse open field before her freshman year at Omaha Central. She found the game so interesting and the team so welcoming that she just stayed! It was a great activity for them to do together, pushing them athletically and growing their confidence. The coaches provide plenty of low-stakes opportunities to learn the game and improve stick skills, even for true beginners like our girls, and then everyone has a chance to contribute in varsity-level games in the spring season. Our daughter’s decision to join Omaha Eagles Lacrosse was a transformative experience that enhanced her overall personal development. As a former ballet dancer, she brought a unique set of skills to the lacrosse field, including discipline, precision, and exceptional body awareness.The rigorous training and commitment required in both ballet and lacrosse reinforced her work ethic and determination, helping her excel both academically and athletically. She is now using these skills to excel at dance at the D1 level on a college dance team.
